Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Head of Campus to join our Young Parent's Wyong team.  This is a part time maternity position that will commence at the start of 2025.  The current load is 0.6 and could be increased for the right applicant.  

The Assistant Head of Campus will be a committed Christian who will support the Young Parents Director to fulfil the mission of the College. This is achieved by supporting the strategic direction and the desired school environment. This position has a significant focus on school culture, school improvement, pastoral care, and effective operations and administration of the College.

Desired Skills and Experience

To undertake this position you will need to have the relevant skills and experience to enable you to:

  • Support the leadership and perform general duties to assist the Director
  • Deputise for the Director when they are off-site;
  • Assist with spiritual, academic, social, emotional and physical development within the campus of both students and staff;
  • Assist with student pastoral care and wellbeing;
  • Assist with the reporting process;
  • Assist to ensure quality teaching and learning and curriculum compliance at the campus;
  • Promote, support and monitor collection of NCCD evidence with the Campus Leadership Team
  • Attend regular meetings with the Director and all staff;
  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety;
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of others;
  • Comply with any reasonable instructions, policies and procedures given by your supervisor;
  • Make appropriate and informed decisions about health and safety that may affect work activities, or other people;
  • Ensure legal requirements regarding health and safety are met;
  • Action safety reports and carry out workplace inspections;
  • Ensure safe work practices;
  • Conduct inductions and regular safety briefings;
  • Participate in incident investigations;
  • Lead by example and promote health and safety at every opportunity;
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the workplace is free from sexual harassment and must not engage in any behaviour that puts the health and safety of another employee at risk, this includes, but is not limited to, behaviours that constitute sexual harassment.
