Job Description
The Food Preparation and Customer Service Assistant works as part of a team to prepare and serve wholesome meals and snacks to both staff and students.
This is a:
3 - 4 day per week position.
8 - 12 month parental leave relief position.
Key responsibilities include:
Actively contribute to a café culture that reflects the College values and provides a welcoming life-giving hub of fellowship and relaxation, and supportive environment for the training and development of students.
Prepare food including sandwiches, toasties and salads
Prepare and pack student lunch and recess orders
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
Provide friendly and efficient counter service
Use Point-of-Sale machine if working in the Café/Kiosk/Canteen
Desired Skills and Experience
Committed Christian who is actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.
A passion for working with food.
Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
Ability to work effectively and at a pace that meets the demands of a busy kitchen.
Punctual, flexible and reliable.
A ‘can-do’ attitude.
Food safety certificate desirable, not essential.
A professional and pleasant manner at all times.
A current NSW Working with Children Check.
