Job Description

The Food Preparation and Customer Service Assistant works as part of a team to prepare and serve wholesome meals and snacks to both staff and students.

This is a:

  • 3 - 4 day per week position.
  • 8 - 12 month parental leave relief position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively contribute to a café culture that reflects the College values and provides a welcoming life-giving hub of fellowship and relaxation, and supportive environment for the training and development of students.
  • Prepare food including sandwiches, toasties and salads
  • Prepare and pack student lunch and recess orders
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
  • Provide friendly and efficient counter service
  • Use Point-of-Sale machine if working in the Café/Kiosk/Canteen

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Committed Christian who is actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.
  • A passion for working with food.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
  • Ability to work effectively and at a pace that meets the demands of a busy kitchen.
  • Punctual, flexible and reliable.
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Food safety certificate desirable, not essential.
  • A professional and pleasant manner at all times.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
