We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our SPCC Dynamic Learning College team - Gosford campus starting February 2026!

Job Description

FOCUS OF THE POSITION:

To follow the direction of the Learning Support Teachers to provide assistance to students as required.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow the direction of the Learning Support Teachers at their campus in providing Literacy and Numeracy small groups. 
  • Assist the Learning Support Teacher in implementing Whole School Assessments and new enrolment screening. Forward any assessment data to Learning Support Teachers for processing.
  • Maintain small group records by marking attendance, lessons taught and filling in lesson notes/resources used.
  • Run small groups according to Learning Support Assistant timetable. Provide feedback to Learning Support Teacher and class teachers on progress.
  • Upload timetable to MySPCC Learning Support at the start of each term.
  • As directed by HoC, assist in supervising activities such as connect groups, chapel, extra-curricular activities and playground duties.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Committed Christian who is actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.
  • Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • High level of confidentiality.
  • Capacity to contribute to operational and strategic activities.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
