Job Description

The VET Administrator provides administration support to the College’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) faculty. This position ensures the effective administration of VET courses by overseeing compliance, liaising with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), and providing support to students and staff involved in VET pathways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organise student enrolments, course selections, and maintain accurate VET records in line with College policies. 
  • Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to ensure smooth delivery of VET programs. 
  • Monitor compliance with national and state VET regulations, including ASQA and NESA requirements. 
  • Prepare, review and submit required data reports (e.g. AVETMISS, USI, VET Data Collection) accurately and on time. 
  • Organise and track student work placements and SmartTrack work experience, including liaising with employers, organising risk assessments and site visits, and ensuring compliance and appropriate documentation. 
  • Provide VET-related guidance and support to students, assisting with enrolment queries, placement arrangements, and course selection and refer to teachers and/or Lead Educator as required. 
  • Assist teaching staff with VET timetables, resources and compliance documentation. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of student information across all systems and platforms. 
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff, and external stakeholders regarding VET matters. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of VET administration processes and systems.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Committed Christian who is actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.
  • Proven experience in educational administration, ideally within a VET or secondary school context.
  • Strong understanding of VET frameworks, compliance requirements, and the operations of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to fostering positive relationships, upholding the College's reputation and supporting students' growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and education management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or relevant qualification is desirable.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
