Job Description
The Finance Assistant is responsible for providing financial administration support to the Business Manager to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records. The Finance Assistant is also responsible for processing of accounts payable, commercial debtors and assisting with raising of purchase orders.
Process of credit card transactions.
Assist with bank reconciliations.
Under the direction of the Business Manager, assist with:
Reconciliations and journal entries, including accruals.
Processing of payroll journals.
Reconciliation of Liability accounts.
Assist in the reconciliation of events.
Receipt of trading entity funds.
Support the Business Manager with financial reporting as required.
Any other reasonable direction that is within the limits of your skills, competence, training and/or experience as given by your Supervisor and/or Principal.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A committed Christian and an active church member.
Two to four years of relevant bookkeeping work experience.
A diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Highly developed attention to detail and analytical skills.
Understand the importance of and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters within the College.
Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with parents, students, staff and the school community.
The ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively.
Current Working with Children Check.
