Job Description

The Administration Assistant is a committed Christian who will assist with clerical and administrative support in order to facilitate the effective and efficient organisation of the office. This person must have strong interpersonal skills and a hardworking and dedicated attitude.

Specific responsiblities include but not limited to the following:

  • Manage College calendar and liase with all parties concerned accordingly.
  • Function as Receptionist of the College who will greet visitor of the College and manage phone calls, mails, deliveries and files.
  • Provide general clerical and word processing support by creating letters & documentations and sharing these to parties concerned, as necessary.
  • Organize and/or coordinate College events.
  • Provide executive and administrative support to the Principal, Business Manager, Executive Asst. and the Director of Aboriginal Education, as needed.  
  • Provide support to Teachers in some admiinistrative tasks such as: cross campus admin work, recording student attendance, preparing excusion/camp notes, data recording in the student management system, manage diagnosis paperwork and evidence from internal and extenal sources, take, share and file minutes of meetings, arrange early release of students, and the like,
  • Manage office supplies monitoring, usage and procurement.
  • Complete incident reports, as needed.
  • Manage assisted transport applications.
  • Assist with curriculum and regulatory requirements, as required.
  • Act as first aid officer and inform parties concerned accordingly including emergency services in th event of a medical incident.
  • Assist with currciculum and regulatory requirements.
  • Flag wellbeing concerns with social worker/HOC
  • Participate in prayers with and for staff and students.
  • Other tasks that will facilitate efficient day-to-day operations in the College.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Displays qualities of a committed and growing Christian who is an active church member.
  • Qualifications in business administration and / or equivalent experience in an office setting.
  • Highly developed time management skills. 
  • High level detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects including the organisation of events and functions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and public relations skills to enable professional interaction with a range of people including senior management, staff, students and community members.
  • Well-developed keyboard and computer skills with a demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and some experience with graphic design programs.
